Aggregating NPR's On The Media

Here are direct links to stories by WNYC's On The Media. Many more -- with audio players, downloadable MP3 files and text transcripts -- are on the show's website.  Browse by date or by topics  including  classroom-usefull ones like Media History,  The Internet, Newspapers and Elections. (See the left "Topic" column of those pages for more categories.)

OTM even provides the code to insert a player for any episode on your own page, which is how I'll build a list of samples here. (Starting with a couple as a test to see how well the link code gets along with my blog software and template... More list to come soon, with program summaries to supplement the sometimes cryptic titles embedded in the players. For instance, the first one is a 25th anniversary discussion of Blade Runner and the second is about Mark Twain and Walt Whitman.)
